Frequently Asked Questions

It is our hope that this section of our website will take away a bit of the anxiety about visiting our church. Below are answers to a few frequently asked questions. This should give you a glimpse of what to expect during your visit. You can also use the tabs on the right to view our sections on what Calvary has for your family and what we believe. Remember the only way to really experience Calvary Lighthouse is to come visit. See you this weekend!

What do I do when I get there

As you pull into the parking lot, drive up to the front doors. Hopefully, there will be a visitor spot open for you. If not, you can feel free to park wherever there is room. Come on in and you will see members of our welcome team standing by the doors to the sanctuary. They will greet you and give you this week's bulletin. Continue into the sanctuary (where we meet) and sit wherever is comfortable for you. After the service make sure you visit our hospitality room. We have people that are there to offer you coffee and snacks, answer any questions you may have and most of all…just meet you!

Will I be asked to stand or speak?

Absolutely not! We don't believe in embarrassing people when they visit. We desire to make an environment where you can experience the worship and the teaching without pressure or embarrassment.

What should I wear?

You can wear whatever is comfortable for you. Every Sunday you will find people in jeans and people in jackets and ties. So yeah…wear what's comfortable for you.

Do I have to give money?

Not at all. In fact, we encourage our visitors to NOT give. We want you to be able to visit and enjoy the music and the message without feeling pressured at all. Please be our guest!

When should I arrive?

We would recommend arriving about 5-10 minutes before the service starts. We generally start on time, so you'll want to have a few minutes to find a seat.

I haven't been to church in a while, will people look down on me?

We don't believe it matters where you have been...just where you are heading. Our congregation is filled with people who have come from every avenue of life. Honestly, we will be too happy to meet you to worry about where you are coming from!
