Our Purpose
Our PurposeThe House of Blessing is a ministry at Calvary Lighthouse which for more than 15 years has been meeting the needs of the community and distributing foods and clothing in Ocean County. In the last year we have seen the number of families serves reach over 600 a month. This is up over 100 from the year before.
Opening New Doors
While we continue to serve as a major provider of food and clothing, we intend to open a new for and reach out to the community to reach their spiritual needs. A new door was opened Christmas 2007. For the first time we provided a Christmas party for our clients and their families. This has now become an annual tradition for the House of Blessing to serve the needs of the community in a special was by providing gifts to the children. Most importantly, this open for has also provided an opportunity to preach the gospel to those who may have never had an opportunity to head the Good News. January 2009 we began a LIFE Group meeting with a small group of clients to form a relationship and preach the gospel. We are excited to start on this new path and see where God leads us.
