Lauren’s Story
My relationship with God has played a huge rule in my life. I can honestly say that I have no idea how I would have ended up where I am today without his constant love and provision. I grew up in a single parent home. My family always had enough to get by and a home to live in, but finances were always an issue for us. Above all, I can say that God has and always will be my comforter and my provider. There was never a time that I didn’t have what I needed or wanted. Even as a child people anonymously donated money to help my family with things like going to camp and school.
As I have grown older, I have continued to see God’s provision in my life. I received a half tuition scholarship to go to college, but I can remember looking at my bill on my first day in the dorms and thinking that there was no way I would be able to afford college without finding a job quickly. That same day, my admissions counselor came to see me and told me that she had been thinking about me and wanted to offer me a job in her department. There have been so many instances in my life just like this one where I can now look back and say without a doubt that it was God stepping in to provide for me. It is overwhelming to think that the creator of the universe cares so deeply about me and has intricately planned every aspect of my life for his glory.
Summit Park Church
Summit Park Church has been a perfect example of this for me. I absolutely love the people and the atmosphere of this church. Having grown up in Lee’s Summit, I am so proud to say that I am a part of a church that truly loves this community and is investing in the lives of people here.
